It’s that time of year when it’s getting colder and kids are indoors more – and that means more germs being passed around indoors. When it comes to keeping my kids healthy in winter, I find the easiest thing to use are essential oils.
I used a combination of oils that are anti-bacterial, anti-viral and immune-stimulants to help their little immune systems stay strong and kick the colds when they do catch one.
I love using roller bottles because it’s really easy to roll the oil on my kids, and they also love to roll the oils on themselves – even my one-year-old will grab a roller out of my hand and rub it on his head!
Here are some of my favorite oils to use:
- Oregano – anti-bacterial, anti-viral
- Frankincense – immune-stimulant
- OnGuard (by Doterra) – anti-bac, anti-viral
- Lavender – anti-bacterial
I suggest rolling one or more of these oils on your kid’s feet, into their scalp, behind ears and on the back, at least once per day. If they’re manifesting sickness symptoms, I suggest rolling on 3-4x/day.
